Diatonic- Hook- Folk-Harps

Hechinger Harfe
This diatonic harp is from Southwest-Germany, arround 1750, keep in the "Hohenzollerische Landessammlung" in Hechingen.
There are instruments from the same type in: USA, Boston, Museum of Fine Arts; Germany, Darmstadt, Hessisches Landesmuseum; Eisenach, Bachhaus; Nuernberg, Germanisches Nationalmuseum. In the "Stadtmuseum Koeln" there is an identical instrument with inscription "Matthaeus Friederich Scheinlein in Langenfeld, 1762".
Attract attention the "Hechinger Harp" the big braypins and the slim column, with the double bowed neck, we find most at harps in Germany 1700-1800.

The sounding of the copy of the "Hechinger Harp" is brilliant clear with "anacronistic" braypin-sound.

Bohemian Hook-Harp
That harptype was made by different woodworkshops in "Erzgebirge". Low weight under 5 kg all in spruce, only neck from hardwood. This harp is ideal for folkmusik the "Wanderharfenisten" 1800-1900 in german speaking countrys. This was also the way that harp came to Soutwest Germany, now in the "Stadtmuseum Balingen".

A Student-Harp 34 Strings optional with modern levers.
A Workshop-Harp 34 Strings, you can make in a workshop in 1 week at "Schwaebisches Kuturarchiv". All harps weight is under arround 4,7 kg.
